Core Questions

  • ?What is the concrete deliverable?
  • ?What format should the output take?
  • ?What does a successful result look like?
  • ?Who is the intended audience for this output?

Micro-Template

Deliver a [format/type] that [key characteristics] for [audience].

Anti-Patterns

Error Correction
No format specified State the output type explicitly: report, table, email, slide deck, code, etc.
Ambiguous deliverable Describe the output concretely enough that two people would produce similar structures.
Missing audience Specify who will read or use the output to calibrate language and detail level.
Conflating multiple deliverables If you need multiple outputs, list each distinctly or split into separate prompts.

Self-Check

  • Could you sketch the structure of the expected output before generation?
  • Is the format unambiguous enough to prevent misinterpretation?
  • Does the deliverable match the motivation stated in M?

Interaction Note

Object defines what success looks like. It directly feeds Evaluation criteria and constrains Instructions. A well-defined Object makes the rest of the prompt easier to write.
